Develop Once, Deploy anywhere

Finally a great effort from Adobe, OpenScreenProject – Initiative to have Singular experience, multiple devices. It’s always give great pleasure to watch the web has changed over the years. With more and more tools being innovated and used to develop Rich User Applications, information has got its new express way to reach to its intended audience.

Flex and Flash has been dominating RIA world from long time and the web has seen a new revolution with both the technologies coming out with new versions.

Now Adobe has taken one step ahead and with the introduction of OpenScreenProject, developers can create applications without being worried about the underlying platform on which the application will be deployed. It’s good to see that top leading industries are taking active interest by coming together and extending the capabilities of AIR and Flash.

Let Flash ride on AIR and move ahead in RIA race.

Just recently came across one more RIA tool – Curl (sounds familiar, there is library in PHP with same name but it is used for different purpose). It seems it is competing with Flex – an already established brand in RIA world. A thought just came in my mind, can it really compete with tool like Flex. It is now common that Flash is available in maximum platforms and the player plugin is almost available in every machine.

Why people would explicitly download Curl to use application developed in it? Well my initial impression after looking at demo is that I am not impressed with UI.
